<br />RECLAI4IATION PLAN <br /> <br />1. Topsoil Removal -All topsoil will be removed and stockpiled prior to gravel pit operations, for <br />ttse in reclaiming the pit. <br />2. Constntction -All banks will be shaped and graded to a 2a grade or flatter. <br />Topsoil Application -Topsoil will he applied and packed at a six inch depth uniformly over the <br />site. If stockpiled soil is not enough, provisions should be made to bring in suitable topsoil to <br />reach a six inch depth. <br />4. Seedbed Preparation -Seedbed shall be well settled and firm, bttt friable enough to be seeded. <br />The seedbed shall be reasonably free of weeds and trash. <br />5. Fertilizer -The azea to be seeded will be fertilized with 40 pounds of available nitrogen (N~l <br />and 40 pounds available phosphortr,S (p~ OS) per acre. Barnyard animal manures may be used <br />to supply all or pan of the necessary ntttnents. Fertilizer applications shall be timed just prior <br />to grass seeding. <br />6. Seedine -Seeding should be completed during the months of Febntary• or March. <br />7. Method of Seedine -Seeding operations where practical, should be done across the slope. <br />Seeding slrortld be done with a grass drill capable of handling the seed being supplied. Seed <br />will be planted at a depth of/, to 3/4 inch. Drill should be equipped with depth bands, <br />agitator in the fluffy grass box, picker wheels in the seed box and doable disk openers with <br />press wheels. <br />8.
