3) In the Mining Plan it is stated that 6~8 inches of topsoil material will be stripped and stockpiled. <br />Please clarify the approximate location of the topsoil stockpile (i.e. along the pit edge as a berm, <br />etc.) Also, it is required that topsoil be protected from erosion if left in place for longer than 1 <br />growing season. Most of the time, it is seeded with a nurse crop or the approved seed mix. <br />Please clarify what measures will be taken to protect the topsoil form erosion. <br />4) The Mining and Reclamation Map shows that all waters will be retained within the pit area. <br />Please clarify if stormwater or overflows will be allowed into the wetlands to the west. <br />5) The Reclamation Plan does not clearly state approximately how many acres will be seeded and <br />how many will be reclaimed as pond. Please clarify. <br />6) Please submit either a typical seed tag or more information as to the type, ratio and pls of the <br />proposed seed mix. <br />7) Under Exhibit F, please clarify that no Conditional or Special Use permits are required. <br />The above review is a preliminary review based on information supplied to date.
