3
The area surveyed for relocated PEDS #2 is a square block measuring 200
feet on aside around the staked drill location. The center stake was off center
in this block also. The western portion measures 200' N-S x 150' E-W while the
eastern side is 200' N-S x 50' E-W. This resulted in roughly 0.7 acres of land
being inventoried for this location. The eastern boundary of the block is a
barbed wire fence marked "Private Property". There is only abut 50 feet of new
access proposed for this location. This was covered within the block inventory.
All other proposed access was covered during the .original inventory or is via
existing roads which will not need improving.
Relocated PEDS #10 was surrounded with a square block measuring 300 feet
to a side with the center stake in the middle. This equaled two acres of
inventory. All proposed access to this location is covered within the block
inventory, the original access inventory and by existing roads which will not-be
upgraded.
RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
No cultural material was encountered during the inventory of the relocated
PEDS #1, PEDS #2 and PEDS #10. Based on the size of this study area these
results were pretty much what was expected.
Recommendations: Since no cultural material was discovered cultural resource
clearance is recommended for all three relocated drill holes as they were staked
during this inventory.
