Raptors (Transient)
Scaled Quail(?) Various nongame bird,
Rabbit
i~iourning Dove
Coyote
Endangered/critical species/impacted:
None that we are axare of.
Critical habitats/vegetative communities impacted:
None that we are aware of.
mammal, & reptile spp.
Assessment of impact:
N.inimal due to it's location on top of a small hill, in a grazed pasture, and the fact
that a pit already exists due to previous gravel operations.
Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration
is designed).
I recommend that the site be graded and sloped to 3:1 or less and reseeded with native
grasses. Brush piles can be constructed to provide cover for wildlife species. Since
the surrounding area is very arid, I recommend that at least part of the bottom of the
pit be sealed. This would increase the chances of the site holding water for local wild-
life species and cattle during xet years or after heave thunderstorms. Grazing should
be restricted until the reseeded grasses have a chance to establish themselves.
Prepared By:~6U/llj ? ~ ~9~/,~
Submitted By: \ ~¢, ~
This statement is void if not processed within 1 year.
~,_ ....~i..~i~ .~„a~ .,nr constitute approval of application.
Dale: ~~
7l/
Date: 7 - Z(o - gib
