Reynolds Pit
DMG 112 Application
Exhibit J - Veeetation Information
a) The Reynolds property is currently cultivated farm ground or part of DMG Permit No.
M-85-163. The south pazcel is an alfalfa field. The north pazcel is currently bare ground
waiting to be planted. The only other vegetation is native grass and weeds along the
wastewater ditch and outside the concrete ditches.
b) Mesa loam soils in this area are typically used for irrigated cropland or rangeland. The
crops grown on this land are typical of the crops grown in the area.
c) This land will produce about 3 tons/acre for alfalfa. The NRCS report in the previous
section indicates annual production of 500-800 pounds if dry vegetation per acre if used
as rangeland.
