COLOkADO DEPARTMENT OF IIEAI.TN
W'aLer Quality Control Division
Rationale - Page 4
Permit No. CO-0000213
2. Alternate Limitations - As indicated in other sections of the
rationale, some effluent limitations are or are not effective,
dependent on occurrences of precipitation. Pages la and lb of the
permit indicate when specific limitations apply. In order for the
permittee to claim a "storm exemption" from the total suspended solids
and total Iron limitations, documentation of [he eligible storm even[
must be submitted to the Division along with the appropriate discharge
monitoring report (DMR).
3. Monitoring Frequencies - As discussed at the beginning of this
rationale, the permittee will be granted a relaxed monitoring frequency
schedule during the time that the mine is shut down. Part I.B.1 of the
permit shows these relaxed frequencies. Part I.B.2 shows the
monitoring frequencies applicable during active periods at the mine.
Thus, when the mine starts up again Part I.B.2 will automatically
apply. The permittee will be requited to Inform the Division in
writing when the mine starts up.
• Jon C. Kub1c
March 26, 1984
•
7-6-31
