<br />Deer Creek Quarry, Inc. <br />1559 Logan Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />March 12, 1997 <br />Jefferson County Open Space <br />700 Jefferson County Parkway <br />Suite 100 <br />Golden, CO 80401 <br />Attn: Ms. Lynn Wodell, Manager of Acquisitions <br />Dear Ms. Wodell: <br /> <br />Please find attached a copy of our Public Notice for our MLRB Permit <br />application for the Deer Creek Quarry. <br />Please note that the property is currently permitted at the County <br />level and at the State level, however, the state permit is to Rocky <br />Mountain Rock Products, a wholly owned company of Western Mobile. <br />They do not have a lease on the property, but will not surrender the <br />permit in any reasonable fashion to the landowners. <br />Deer Creek Quarry Inc. is owned by the landowners Doug and Henry Hall. <br />The only way that the Division of Minerals and Geology could allow the <br />halls to continue the mine, under their right, and the Jefferson County <br />permitting, was to reapply for a new State MLRB permit. This notice <br />is for that purpose. <br />Since you currently own the property across the highway to the south, <br />from the quarry, you are a landowner within 200 feet of the affected <br />land.
