THE SOURCE TO WHICH THIS PERMIT APPLIES IS DESCRIBED AND LOCATED AS FOLLOWS:
Underground coal mine, Bowie No. 2, located 3 miles northeast of Paonia, Dalta County,
Colorado.
THE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT OR ACTIVITY SUBJECT TO THIS PERMIT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
Above ground fugitive emission producing activities such es stockpiling, on-site hauling,
• site preparation, etc.; non-fugitive emissions from conveyors and transfer points.
THIS PERMIT IS GRANTED SUBJECT TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COLORADO AIR
QUALfTY CONTROL COMMISSION AND THE COLORADO AIR POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
ACT C.R.S. (25-7-101 at seal, TO THOSE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH ON THE
REVERSE SIDE OF THIS DOCUMENT AND THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The particulate emission control measures listed on the attached page (as approved by the Division)
shall be applied to the particulate emission producing sources as required by Regulation No. 1,
Section III.D.t.b.
2. The permit number shall be marked on the subject equipment for ease of identification. (Reference:
Reg. 3, Part B, IV.E.) (State only enforceable)
3. Transfer points shall be partially enclosed to control particulate emissions.
4. This source shall be limited to a maximum processing rate as listed below and all other activities,
operational rates and numbers of equipment as stated in the application. Monthly records of the
actual processing rate shall be maintained by the applicant and made available to the Division for
inspection upon request. (Reference: Regulation 3, Part B,III.A.4)
Processing of coal shall not exceed 20,000 tons per day, 416,667 tons per month, and 5,000,000
tons per year.
During the first twelve (12) months of operation, compliance with bath the monthly and yearly
production limitations shall be required. After the first twelve (12) months of operation, compliance
. with only the yearly limitation shall be required. Compliance with the yearly production limits sha{I
be determined on a rolling twelve (12) month total.
