VEGEPATIVE TYPE MAPPING <br />Delineation of vegetation types on the study area is depicted on Map 1, <br />Appendix A. The total acreage:, of each mapping unit shown on Map 1 are <br />summarized in Table 3. Approximately 22% of the study area is presently <br />disturbed or in the initial stages of reclamation as a result of current <br />mining operations. Approximately 65% of the area is cromr~rised of mixed <br />brush type/aspen subtype vegetation. The aspen subtype alone cromprises <br />4.1% or 112 aces of the total lands. Upland sagebrush is the other <br />major vegetation type on the study area comprising 13% of the total <br />acreage.
