Bill Schell and I represent Thomas Mars who owns property
that is surrounded by the project. Mr. Mars is concerned about potential impacts on his property
resulting from the project throughout the mining phases and after completion.
Access to his property is one of Mr. Mazs's concems. Karen Flanders of Tetra Tech indicated
that other than for short periods to construct flumes Tucson Road will remain open to Mr. Mars's
property at all times during construction from the north or south or both.
Mr. Mazs has an interest in a well on his property (State Engineer's Office Permit 13698-F and
indicated on the Permit Application Exhibit G titled Water Supply Wells and Monitoring Wells)
and is concerned about potential groundwater effects of the mining operations and subsequent
reservoirs located on the project site.
Mr. Mars is also concerned about effects of mining operations and subsequent reservoirs on the
stability of all strata on his property and on the wildlife in the vicinity.
Please include Mr. Mars in the permit review process with regard to addressing his concerns and
any other impacts you discover that may effect his property and the water well located on it.
