Duration of Operation <br />Intermittent rock crushing operation, over-all duration unknown. <br />4, Total Area Disturbed <br />Less than three acres. <br />5. Wildlife Species List <br />Coyote, Fox,Cottontail rabbit, Richardson ground squirrel, Deer mouse, <br />Skunk, Bushytailed wood rat, Magpie, Raven, Crow, Stellar's jay, Sparrows, <br />Nighthawk, Hairy woodpecker, Mountain Bluebird <br />6, Endangered Species Impacted <br />None <br />7, Assessment of Mining Impact on Wi_Idlife _ <br />This area is mostly biologically sterilebecause of past smelter activity. <br />Because of this, wildlife impacts will be negligible. <br /> <br />8. Proposed s1itigation Measures,=lnclLaing Recl.amatinn-for Wildlife=Habitat. <br />Reclamation will be next to impossible because of past smelter activities. <br />Where topsoil is present, native species of grass should be planted. <br />Where topsoil is not present, slopes should be left as flat as possible <br />to increase percolation of water and minimize erosion. Care should be <br />taken to not increase erosion and siltation of the Arkansas River during <br />operation. <br />.
