Page 2 ~~~
Mr. Thomas Schreiner
September 26, 2000
EXHIBIT H -WILDLIFE INFORMATION
15. I spoke with Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) biologist Mike Sherman. He said he will
prepare a Wildlife Impact Statement and submit it directly to the Division this week. The
operator will work directly with CDOW to respond to any concerns they have regazding [his
mining operation.
EXHIBIT L -RECLAMATION COSTS
17. Please refer to the attached table. Please note that pit dewatering costs are not included because
the site will be dewatered once, prior to mining phase 1. Thus, at the time of maximum allowable
disturbance, dewatering will have already taken place.
EXHIBIT S -PERMANENT MAN-MADE STRUCTURES
19. The operator will commit to 20 feet of cleazance on the non-mined side of the slurry wall azound
the perimeter. In addition, the operator will ensure the toe of the mine slope is a minimum of 117
feet from the slurry wall.
BONDING
Aggregate Industries, Inc. anticipates that this site will not be disturbed for at least three to five years.
Thus, the operator prefers [o submit a limited watranty of $1,000 until they are ready to begin operations.
Aggregate Industries, Inc. will notify the Division and submit a property executed financial warranty in the
full amount required at least 60 days prior to initiation of disturbance.
The changes to the application will be filed with [he Weld County Clerk and recorder no later than the
close of business today. I will fax you a copy of the receipt in the morning. Thank you for your
assistance with this application. Please contact me if you have additional questions.
Sincerely,
ROC ~ M~OpUgNTq,IN CONSULTANTS, INC.
~Uj
Danna Ortiz
Natural Resources Planner
Attachments
H:\0137_086\DMG\DMGresponse2. wpd
