• Figure 2.03.12-1 Proposed Newspaper Advertisement Pursuant to the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board published August 1980 and pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act 34-33-101 et seq., notice is hereby given of the filing of an application for the revision of a valid existing permit to conduct coal mining in Colorado. The application is for the expansion of the existing Colowyo Coal Mine, permit No. C-81-019 by Colowyo Coal Company, L.P., 5731 State Highway No. 13, Meeker, Colorado 81641, with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Colorado Deparnnent of Natural Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 213, Denver, CO 80203. The subject plans cover Federal Coal Lease No. C- 0123476, Federal Coal Lease No. C-29225, Fedeml Coal Lease No. C-29226, State of Colorado Coal Lease 257-13S, and private fee coal and is located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado. Coal to be mined and lands to be affected land aze owned by Colowyo, the state of Colorado, and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. The permit revision boundary is adjacent to the existing permit boundary to the west and south and is bounded by Colorado Highway 13/789 along the east, Jubb Creek on the west, and extends no more than two miles south of the MoffaU Rio Blanco County Line. The permit revision area can be located on U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangle Map No. N4007.5-W 10745/7.5 (Ninemile Gap) and Map No. N4015-W 10745/7.5, (Axial, Colorado), and is more particularly described as follows: TOWNSHIP 4 NORTH. TOWNSHIP 3 NORTH, RANGE 93 WEST OF THE 6m P.M. Containing 6,050 acres, more or less, situated in Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties, Colorado.
