It appears that the issue at questions is the location of the 100 year <br />floodplain, and is the Virginia Acres Gravel Pit Operation in or out of <br />then 100 year floodplain? <br />In our determination that this project is not in the 100 year floodplain, <br />we utilized information from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the <br />Mesa County Engineering Department, specifically from the Floodplain <br />Administrator. <br />Map No. 1 is from a study done by the Corps of Engineers in 1976 for the <br />lsecera mergency Management Agency {FEMA). <br />This study is the official Floodplain Delineation study as recognized by <br />FEhIA. <br />This study was used by the National Flood Insurance Program to determine <br />flcod insurance rates. <br />Map No. 2 is a copy of the map for the National Flood Insurance Program as <br />revised December 4, 1985. <br />United Companies o/ Mesa County, Inc. <br />
