I. Upon completion of drilling activities at a given site, all debris, trash, and drilling related
equipment will be removed from the site.
2. When the mud pit is sufficiently dry, it will be filled with stored subsoil material and
compacted to minimize any settling. All remaining subsoil will be redistributed on and
azound the drill pad with a backhoe and/or bulldozer to achieve as closely as possible, the
original contour of the site.
3. Stored topsoil will be distributed as evenly as possible over the disturbed pad azea.
4. The entire drill pad azea will be re-seeded using the following seed mix described in Table
N, which has been approved by the BLM for drill sites in this area.
Table IV
BLM Stipulated Seed Mix
Grass Species Mix Lbs./Acre
Amba Western Wheatgrass 2.Slbs/A
Sodaz Streambank Wheatgrass 1.81bs/A
Nordan Crested Wheatgrass 1.SIbs/A
Paloma Indian or Nezpaz Ricegrass 2.Olbs/A
Sherman Big bluegrass O.Slbs/A
Lodorm Green needlegrass O.Slbs/A
Delmaz Small burnet 1.SIbs/A
Rincon or Native Fourwing Saltbush 2.Olbs/A
Total 18.Slbs/A
This seed will be 99 percent pure live seed (PLS) and hand broadcast at a rate of 18.5 pounds per
acre.
5. After seeding, the cleazed brush will be redistributed over the drill pad area to act as natural
mulch. This method has proven successful for the revegetation of previous drill sites.
6. Newly created access roads will be restored as closely as possible to the original contour and
re-seeded as above. Drill pads and access roads will be reclaimed shortly after the
completion of the drill hole.
7. If constructed, waterbazs on new road construction will be left in-place for future erosion
control. All culverts will be removed during the reclamation of the access routes.
8. The drill pad and access roads reclamation procedure outlined above will apply only to those
areas newly disturbed for this proposed exploration. Existing roads and trails will be left
undisturbed and in a condition equal to or better than that observed up Ark Land Company's
entry into the area. Existing trails will be scarified during reclamation activities to
compensate for compaction and to promote seed germination.
9. After reclamation, newly constructed access roads to certain drill sites may be blocked and
closed to vehicle entry at the USFS or surface owner request. Alternate road closure methods
may be employed where practical after review with the USFS representative.
13
