Submission of Comments -Clarification
Dear Ms. Fitzgerald:
The Division has received your comments on [he above mentioned application for a sand & gravel mining
operation. For clarification, we request that you indicate in writing if you desire your comments to be
considered an objection to the application or if you simply desire the Division to take your comments into
consideration during our technical review of the application. Please note that the Division will require the
applicant to locate on their mine plan map the locations of all existing permanent man-made structures
such as oil & gas wells and lines, power & communication lines, irrigation ditches, easements, rights-of-
way, and trails, etc. that occur on the areas of affected land and within two hundred (200) feet of all
boundaries of such area. The applicant will not be required to locate planned or future structures. Also,
the Division will require the applicant [o comply with the terms of Rule 6.4.19 for permanent man-made
structures (see attached copy) prior to a decision on the application. The decision date for the Fredstrom
Resource application is tentatively scheduled for June 11, 2001 .
If you are objecting [o the application, then the Division will schedule an informal conference, apre-
Hearing Conference, and a Formal Public Hearing. The Hearing will be held during the June 27-28, 2001
Board Meeting . You will be kept apprised of the location, date, and time of such meetings and will be
able to participate in our permitting process. Attached is a bulletin [hat further explains our public
participation and Board Heating process. The Division appreciates your cooperation in this matter and
respectfully requests that you respond in writing on or before May 25, 2001 with your clarification. You
