The applicant proposes to mine sand and gravel on 9 acres. The pit is to be <br />mined dry and process water will be from sources owned by the operator. Although it is <br />stated that no ground water will be intercepted, we note that the water table in the azea <br />is very shallow. Therefore, the possibility of intercepting ground water is highly likely. <br />We wish to caution the operator that if groundwater is intercepted, a valid well permit <br />must be obtained from this office and a water supply plan will be necessary.
