The remainder of the seed mixture should be <br />drilled into the soil to a depth of about one-half inch. If drilling <br />is not possible, the entire mixture may be applied by broadcasting, <br />but the seeding rates shoul.3 be doubled, The seed should be raY.ed <br />or dragged to.cover the seed one-hall' inch deep if broadcasting <br />is used. The best time for seeding is Hid-June to mid-July, since <br />that period has the most likely probability of rainfall. <br />mnnrrcvr.n vmc <br />In addition to the above seeding recommendations, it is suggested <br />that some of the native rabbitbrush be dug up from adjacent areas and <br />replanted on the i~ t slopes and bottom. The most favorable time for <br />this is in the spring to allow a full growing season for re-establ- <br />ishment. They should by planted at random in low spots to provide <br />better moisture conditions. As much of the roots as practical should <br />be transplanted, along with a ball of the original soil.
