p 2 <br />All materials used in the construction of the floodway <br />inlets and the spillway will be obtained from the pit <br />during mining operations. The floodway inlets will be <br />constructed in two phases. Ahase one will be the flood- <br />way channel from the permit boundary to the pit edge. <br />This wiil be completed as soon as the rip rap material <br />is recovered during the mining operation. <br />Phase 2 will be the floodway slope area into the pit. <br />This will be completed once the pit is mined in the <br />floodway area. <br />The outlet spillway will he constructed as soon as the <br />needed material is recovered from the settling pond <br />excavation. This should occur in the first mining <br />season. <br />The inlet structures and the outlet structures will <br />remain and become a part Of the reclamation plan, <br />Willows will be planted. ne~a to ths.~tructure5 during <br />construction to aid in stabilization. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 2 <br />Along the west bank of the permit area rip rap will be <br />placed just inside the permit boundary. This material ~ <br />will be placed from south to north as the pit is excavated. <br />Willow plantings will also be placed next to the rip <br />rap at the same time. Material 2.5 feet in diameter <br />and larger will be used to armor the west bank. This . <br />material will be embedded at the current west bank <br />elevation. Willow plantings will be placed on 25 foot <br />centers with topsoil and seeding from the rip rap to <br />the lake bank edge. It is expected that all the rip <br />rap material will be recovered from the pit mining <br />operation. <br />
