Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
STRONG FARM ~2
The area is to become a private fish and waterfowl habitat after the
gravel has been extracted, with the exception of approximately 10 acres which
will serve as an access road to the area.
The wildlife habitat will fit in well with contiguous areas which are
expected to become similar areas as gravel supplies are exhausted, and such
areas are needed due to the proximity to the city of Greeley. Industrial
or other future uses are not feasible in this particular area.
The Reclamation P1ap indicates the area to be one large pond with the
exception of the access road. However, the owner may vary the shoreline
as is consistent with oood wildlife oractices to include islands or irreclu-
larities which will enhance the overall area for the benefit of the wildlife
and also the users of the area.
The banks of the pond areas will be shaped to 3:1 or flatter. Topsoil
o-~ill be placed on the banks to allow reseedinn.
Please refer to Exhibit J which contains a letter from the USDA Soil
Conservation Service serving the area fora List of Preferred Species of
grasses, shrubs, and trees which will do well on this area. Plantings will
be made from the lists at the discretion of the owner. Rates and dates for
planting are included in the referred to letter.
As gravel is extracted from the border of the areas the desired slopes
will be ohtained to cause the banks to blend in with adjacent lands. Top-
soil will be replaced as the borders or shorelines advance where extraction
... ;
leas been completed. At this time seeding will be done as ~fe~eded to obt~inl
cover in the shortest tune.
