Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natu21 Resource Trustee <br />RE: Pre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing for Lafarge West, Inc., Duckworth Saad & <br />Gravel Mine, File No. M-2003-091 <br />Dear Party and/or Interested Person: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the application for the <br />Duckworth Sand & Gravel Mine New 112c Application, File No. M-2003-091 submitted by Lafage West, Inc. <br />A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on January 22, 2004, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado. Ms. Sandra Brown will <br />preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. Ms. Brown will ask the parties to assist in preparing apre-hearing <br />order to propose to the Board that identifies the parties, the issues, possible witnesses and exhibits for the hearing, <br />and an estimate of the time needed for the hearing. Ms. Brown will also discuss the Office's review process, as <br />well as the rights and responsibilities of parties. <br />Lafarge West, Inc, has requested atwo-month continuance for the decision on the Duckworth Application. <br />Therefore, staff has tentatively scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board in Apri12004. The hearing on the application for the Duckworth New 112 Application will <br />occur during the Anril 28-29.2004 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado, <br />commencing at 10:00 a.m. on Apri128ih or 9:00 a.m. on Apri129a` or as soon thereafter as the matter can be <br />considered.
