Srudy Plan Design
• Post-reclamation Investigation
The post-reclamation investigation consisted of data collection for: vegetative cover, herbaceous
production, woody plant density, shrub rooting depth, and soil characteristics. The results of
these data collections are presented in the following pages of this report.
Communication with Colorado Division of Minerals and Geo%gy
Close communication has been maintained with DMG through this study. The DMG's consent
was obtained regazding the plan of study. Information gathered from the pre-reclamation
investigation was submitted for the DMG's review. Decisions regazding the topsoiUsubsoil
thickness were also made in concert with DMG. Results of the 1992 and 1993 data collections
were reported and submitted to DMG and comments were received. If it is determined that a
topsoiUsubsoil cover of less than four feet can achieve successful revegetation, an application for
a variance from the four-foot cover requirement will be submitted to DMG.
•
