Mount SEP 0 2 1997 <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology <br />Department of Natural Resources Division o1 mine~eis a ~®ology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />RE: Stone Wholesale Corporation, Brownstone Quarry, Corps 1?Yle No. 199780710 <br />Dear Mr. Mount: <br />Reference is made to the Stone Wholesale Corporation, Brownstone Quarry <br />project (your File No. M-97-065) located in Section 24, Township 8 North, Range 70 <br />West, Larimer County, Colorado. <br />The project has been reviewed in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water <br />Act under which the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulates the discharge of dredged <br />and fill material, and any excavation activity associated with a dredge and fill project, in <br />waters of the United States such as streams and wetlands. Based on the plans presented, <br />this project will not require a Department of the Army (DA) permit. <br />Although a DA Permit will not be required for the project, this does not eliminate <br />the requirement that other applicable federal, state, tribal, and local permits be obtained if <br />needed. <br />If there are any questions concerning this letter, please call Mr. Terry McKee of <br />at 303-979-4120. <br />Copy Furnished: <br />MR.
