Paul Adams, Environmental Engir_eer
,~doloh Coors Company
Golden, CO 8001
Dear Paul:
I have reviewed your preliminary Keensburg coal mining proposal
with appropriate Division of Wildlife personnel. SVe are impressed
with the project and feel that you will have very little impact on the
area's wildlife.
Your test plots for reclamation seem to:oe proceeding well and this,
• coupled with the fact that only a small area will be disturbed at any
one time, greatly reduces any impact on wildlife species. As we
discussed, the area has 'teen badly overgrazed in east year s, and
you should actually improve the existing habitat with your proposed
plan.
Please let me know if I can be of any assistance in the future and
keep us informed of you.- p.-ogress.
Yours truly,

Allen Whitaker
Wildlife Envircnmentalist
W: dh
cc: Don Bogart

-99-
CE?ARiL1ENi CF uAi'J BAI .?_°C URC cS.
