• • EXNI6IT E '
Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
a
• A. A three-phased reclamation program on all disturbed lands
utilizing a shape and blend to natural topography method
for Zone 1 (approximately 13 acres; see Exhibit F)
and a series of stepped benches in Zone 2 (approximately
7 acres; see Exhibit F}, Both zones will be revegetated,
Stepped benches are proposed for Zone 2 because of the
extremem surface disturbance. This will allow water/
erosion control during the revegetation period. Shaping
and contouring to approximate the surrounding terrain
will be accomplished in Zone 1 areas to minimize surface
water runoff and to allow final vegetationJland forms
to approximate the surrounding area both physiographically
and visually (aesthetics).
• B. Existing use of the general area is for limited cattle
forage, wildlife habitat, and the mining operation. Public
use of adjacent public lands (BLM) in the area occurs
with small amounts of hunting, off-road vehicle use, and
wood gathering, primarily by local area residents.
Crossing the area is a Bureau of Reclamation electrical
transmission line. The reclamation plan concept takes
these uses into consideration in its development. The
ultimate goal of the plan is to return the reclaimed land
to these same forest, range, and wildlife (game and non-
game species) uses, and to enhance them when possible.
•
