Box 511 la Junta, Colorado 81050 RE: Hancock Gravel Pit Our File N81-279 Dear Mr. Aldrich: I have completed my adequacy review of the mining and reclamation permit application for the above captioned operation. I have several questions and comments that Z have organized on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis below. Any exhibits or parts thereof not mentioned are considered adequate at this time. Application Item 20 - As I mentioned in my completeness Setter of November \~30th, 1981, I will need page 2 of the application signed by you or another ~ appmpriate Otero County official. Before the Board can consider the application during the January 27-28, 1982 meeting, I will need to receive the proof of the four sequential weeks of publication and the notifications of the landowner of the permit area as well as all immediately adjacent landowners (if any). Exhibit C & F Mining Plan and Reclamation Plan Map ~1. Adjacent landowners (if any) should be shown on the map. 2. Thefnining plan map should show the locatio~~ns of fixed equipment, product stockpiles, general direction of mining (even though thfa mining ~/ is not phased, giving some general pattern), utility lines crossing the /' permit area ( if any), and any other features ofvthe mining and recla- mation plans that can best be illustrated on the map. 2 3. Final contours for the southeastern part of the permit area are ~ shown on the map but are not given for the northwestern part of the S•"l~„+ permit area.
