RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE
In order to calculate the maximum potential reclamation liability to the State, we have selected a
point in time where the mining disturbance could be at its maximum. This point occurs towards
the end of mining in Phase I. Here there will be backfilling in progress in Phase I and the
majority of Phase II will be stripped of the lime soils. Topsoil and overburden will remain in the
Phase II area, so that area will only require revegetation. Please refer to page D-2 for a listing of
disturbed areas that total 19.5 acres. This estimate will follow the same order as the listing on
page D-2.
