Correspondence from Mr. Stephen R. Wujek, Knight Planning
Services, Inc., responding to the most recent comments of the Division of Minerals
and Geology prepazed by Mr. Tom Shriner dated March 5, 2001 and referenced
attachments thereto. With regard to the flood plain study prepared by High County
Engineering Inc. and included with Mr. Wujek's submittal I would note that earlier
this week we discovered that because the HEC-RES computer run did not include
river sections properly extended to the north side of the floodplain the concomitant
water level increases stemming from the Mine Plans proposed benning was
exaggerated. This error was recently discovered and resolved and the same resulted
ul my delay in forwarding these to documents to you for which I apologize. These
computations are being revised and I am hopeful that we will be able to forward to
you the correct computations by the end of this week as an additional supplement.
2. Letter from the City of Rifle, CO withdrawing it's pazty status in the
above referenced matter. I have also included herewith the documents referenced
therein -City of Rifle, CO Watershed Permit issued to Roaring Fork Resources Inc.
for the Mamm Creek Gravel Pit. and Agreement between the City of Rifle, CO and
Roaring Fork Resources Inc. relevant thereto. This second set of documents was
filed with the Clerk and Recorder for Garfield County on this date. I will forward
to you the certificate of proof of such filing when I receive the same back from the
