• The old Blue Ribbon Mine operated on part of the area being applied for <br />from 1952 until 1963. During that time the mine produced 35,805 tons according <br />to records of the Colorado Division of `lines. The mine produced coal for local trade <br />using a conventional "cut and shoot" method. The old Blue Rib'oon :line mined in <br />the E Seam or "Hawks Nest Seam". Exhibit X shows the extent and location of surface <br />disturbance associated with the mine. <br />The mine site of the old Blue Ribbon "fine has been reclaimed by natural <br />processes. The only disturbed area is a small road that leads up co the site. <br />One of the old portals was the site of the new Blue Ribbon No. 2 Fan. This fan has <br />been removed and the portal sealed. <br />The permit area lies in Delta County, Colorado. There is no zoning in <br />this area.
