reproducing, intensive efforts continue until the existing seed bank is exhausted. <br />3.2.2 "Containment" means maintaining an intensively managed buffer zone <br />that separates infested regions, where suppression activities prevail, from lazgely <br />uninfested regions, where eradication activities prevail. <br />3.2.3 "Suppression" means reducing the vigor of noxious weed populations <br />within an infested region, decreasing the propensity of noxious weed species to <br />spread to surrounding lands, and mitigating the negative effects of noxious weed <br />populations on infested lands. Suppression efforts may employ a wide variety of <br />integrated management techniques. <br />3.3 Under the authority of the "Colorado Noxious Weed Act", section 35-S.S-107 the <br />boazd of county commissioners shall appoint a local advisory board. This <br />advisory board, known as the Routt County Noxious Weed Advisory Boazd, shall <br />have the authority to designate noxious weeds to be subject to integrated weed <br />management and to assign which category each weed species shall fall into, either <br />"eradication, containment, or suppression:' This "designated weed list" is in <br />APPENDIX A, and may be changed as deemed necessazy by the Routt County <br />Noxious Weed Advisory Board and with the approval of the Routt County Board <br />of Commissioners, in compliance with the "Colorado Noxious Weed Act", and <br />without having to change or re-approve the main body of the Routt County <br />noxious weed management plan. <br />3.4 In addition to the designated weed list for Routt County, the county shall have <br />authority, as set forth in the "Colorado Noxious Weed Act" to enforce the law as <br />outlined in the act for List A species and List B species designated for eradication, <br />List B species not designated for eradication, and the List C species as outlined in <br />§3S-S.S-108.5 and 3S-S.S-109 C.R.S. (See APPENDIX B.) <br />4 Enforcement <br />4.1 Private Lands: Per §35-5.5-108.5 and 109 C.R.S. and 8 CCR 1203-19. <br />4.2 Public ]ands: Per §35-5.5-110 C.R.S. <br />4.3 Public Rights-of--way: Per §35-5.5-112 C.R.S. <br />4.4 Special Use Permits: Per the requirements of special use permits as issued by the <br />Routt County Boazd of County Commissioners. <br />
