The sand and gravel to be <br />mined is exposed on the surface of the subject area with <br />only insignificant overburden. The method of mining would <br />be to begin at the Western end of the existing gravel pit <br />and proceed in a generally Northwesterly direction, strip- <br />ping the mineral and exposing the soil beneath it. It is <br />contemplated that a bulldozer would be used to loosen the <br />mineral in place. It would then be removed by use of a <br />loader and any leveling necessary would be accomplished by <br />use of the bulldozer. <br />
