<br />~~ <br /> <br />ROOP AND RIB CONTROL - ORCHARD VALLEY WEST lfINE <br />FIILL ROOF BOLTING PLAN <br />GENERAL <br />1, This minimum roof and rib control plan has been formulated for normal roof <br />and rib conditions encountered during mining at the Orchard Valley West <br />Mine. <br />2, A normal roof condition is defined as a roof capable of being supported by <br />the entry and pillar design dimensions and any artificial support install- <br />ed as a normal operational procedure. <br />3, In active working areas where subnormal roof conditions are encountered, <br />indicated, or anticipated, [he Plan shall be supplemented vi[h additional <br />roof and/or rib support. <br />4, If any changes are to be made in [he mining system Lhat necessitates any <br />change in the roof control plan, the plan shall be revised and approved <br />prior to implementing the new mining system. <br />5, Lithography: <br />Main Roof Interbedded Shales <br />and Sandstone <br />Immediate Roof Interbedded Cleystone, <br />Siltstones, Carbonaceous Shale <br />Coal "D" Seam 4-25 feet thick, average <br />17 feet. <br />Bottom Interbedded Carbonaceous <br />Shale, Claystones, <br />Siltstones, and Sandstones <br />Page Three <br />Initial 11/01/86 <br />Revised 09/29/87 <br /> <br />
