SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND INSTALLATIDN PROCEDURES FOR RESIN ROOF BOLTS <br />• I. Resin roof bolts will be installed in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's recommendations. If failure of a resin <br /> bolt occurs, the bolting operation will be discontinued <br /> until the reason for failure has been determined. If the <br /> reason for failure cannot be determined, changes in the <br /> roof bolting procedure will be made to adequately support <br /> the roof, or supplemental suoports will be used. <br /> 2. a. All resin roof bolts will be used with bearing plates <br /> approved for use at the mine. <br /> b. Bearino plates will be installed tight zgainst the <br /> mine roof or materials used in conjunction with roof <br /> bolts. <br /> 3. a. The resin will not be used if manufacturer's recom- <br /> mended shelf life is exceeded, unless inspected by the <br /> manufacturers representative and found safe to use. <br /> b.
