A minimum of 20 posts of proper length with sufficient cap <br /> pieces and wedges, and where regularly understood, at <br />• least 6 crossbars shall be provided as close as practical <br /> to the working places andior in a location where they can <br /> be delivered to the working place within 30 minutes. <br />13. Permanent roof supports shall not be recoverec. <br />i4. An approved, calibrated torque wrench that will indicate <br /> the actual torque on the point anchor roof bolts by z <br /> aired reading shall be provided on each roof bolting <br /> machine in operation. <br />15. Immediately after the first point anchor bolt is installed <br /> in each place, the torque shall be tested ono thereafter <br /> at least one roof bolt out of ever y four shall be tested <br /> by a qualified person. Such torque checks are neges- <br /> sary only in advancing sections in working places produc- <br /> ing coal during any portion of the aforementioned 24-hour <br /> period. <br /> The results o` these tests shall be recorded in the on- <br /> shift examination book. The record shall shop the number <br /> of bolts tested znd number above and below the required <br /> range. <br /> If the results show that thF majority of the bolts are not <br /> maintaining at least y0 foot-pounds. (Stratabolt) or 140 <br /> foot-pounds. (Birmingham) of torque or have loaded up to <br /> where they exceed 240 foot-pounds (Stratabolt) or 360 <br /> foot-pounds.
