The following • ormation pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by <br /> the Land Reclamation Board in their consideration ^f a mining permit <br /> for Cotter Corporation (C-CM-25 Mine) <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the best of our <br />knowledge, that the impact of the proposed mining operation on wildlife <br />will 6e <br />x minor <br />moderate <br />major <br />Mine Location: T. 47 N., R. 17 W., Sections 5 8 6 <br />Wildlife Species List: (may he attached) Mule deer, small mammals <br />and non-game birds are the species which will be most impacted by this <br />operation. <br />Endangered Species Impacted: None that are known. <br />• Assessment of Impact on Wildlife: (may be attached) This area has been <br />heavily exploited by mining activity, and most impacts t^ wildlife have <br />already occurred. Rdditional new activities, compounded with the <br />existing operations, will add to the continual erasion and loss ^f <br />wildlife habitat. <br /> <br />Mine Reclamation Recommendations: (may be attached) Exploration and <br />non-used service roads should be closed and revegetated with native <br />vegetation, which will provide cover and forage for wildlife species. <br />• Prepared by Ran Arant and Rick Sherman,2S <br />
