Of the 82°~6 vegetative cover, the relative
cover for shrubs, subshrubs, and tree seedlings wos 32%, graminoids represented 34%
and forbs -- 34%.
Of the shrub species, Mountain Snowberry contributed 10% relative cover,
Chokecherry 7%, and common Shadbush 6%. The graminoid species with the greatest
relative cover was Agassiz Bluegrass (I6%). Smooth Brome, Orchardgrass and Blue
Wildrye combined contributed 16% relative cover. The relative cover contributed by
the various forb species was approximately the same for each species.
Willow/Redtop
Table 2.4-12 presents cover data by species for the Willow/Redtop vegetation
type. Percent vegetative cover was 92% and vegetation, litter, and rock was 97°~.
Of the 92°.6 vegetotive cover, the shrubs had a relative cover value of 7%, graminoids
69%, and the forbs 23%. Of the graminoids, Agassiz Bluegrass had the highest
relative cover value (17%).
• Subirrigated Shrub
Tables 2.4-13 and 2.4-14 present cover data for the subirrigated shrub affected
and control area, respectively. Percent vegetative cover was the same (85°6) for
both affected and control oreas. Percent vegetation, litter, and rock was 96% for
the affected area and 97 % for the control area. In the affected area, Shrubs made
up 56% of the relative cover, with Wood's Rose (14%), Mountain Snowberry (9°0),
Chokecherry (9°h), and Shadbrush (5%) being the major species. In the control ores,
Wood's Rose (14%), Mountain Snowberry (12), and Chokecherry (590) were The
dominant species, making up 31°h out of 45% of the relative cover value contributed
by the shrubs. The relative cover of the graminoids was 16% and IB%, respectively,
for affected and control areas. Relative cover of the forbs was 28% in the affected
area, and 37°~, in the control area.
Sagebrush/Snowberry Shrubland
• The Sagebrush/Snowberry cover data for affected and control areas are
presented in Tables 2.4-IS and 2.4-16, respectively.
