• 2.03 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE COAL MINING AND <br />RECLAMATION OPERATIONS: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGAL <br />FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE AND RELATED INFORMATION <br />2.03.1 Objective <br />The objective of this Section is to ensure that the CMLRD receives all relevant information <br />regarding ownership and control of the property to be affected by surface coal mining and <br />reclamation operations, and the compliance status and history of the Chimney Rock Coal <br />Mine. <br />2.03.2 Responsibilities <br />In accordance with the requirements of this part, Kaiser Steel Resources hereby makes <br />formal written application to the CMLRD to conduct surface coal mining and reclamation <br />operations within the areas discussed herein. The scope of this permit will include only the <br />reclamation aspects of the project. <br />2.03.3 Format and Suoalemental Information <br />Consistent with the scope and intent of the regulations, Kaiser has presented current up-to- <br />date information as concisely as possible. The information presented herein is supported <br />by appropriate documented technical references which also are made available to the <br />CMLRD with this submission. <br />Considerable effort was expended in the compilation of technical data necessary for the <br />preparation and submission of this permit. Technical personnel and professional <br />organizations devoted significant time at a considerable expense to collect and analyze the <br />technical data.
