Conner <br />FROM: David B~ry, Reclamation Specialist <br />RE: File No. M-87-072 <br />Adequacy Items <br />The following items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the <br />applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et sea. and the Mineral Rules and <br />Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board- <br />a. <br />Application Form: <br />1) The acreage has been corrected on the application form. Please <br />verify that your permit area will be less than 1.0 acre. <br />Exhibit fs - Site Description: <br />1) Are there any significant man-made structures such as gas lines, <br />power lines, etc. within 200 feet of the proposed mine area? <br />7.) We strongly recommend that you submit pre-mine photographs of the <br />area so that you do not become responsible for pre-existing mining <br />disturbance. <br />Exhibit C - Mining Plan: <br />1) Will you use any chemicals to process the material? If so, specify. <br />2) Your site map indicates a small area of pre-existing tailings. How <br />will your operation affect these tailings, and will your operations <br />mobilize any of the tailings material to downstream locations? <br />3) Please describe the surface drainage in your proposed mine area. <br />Provide estimates of flow amount and duration. The pictures will <br />be helpful with this item. <br />4) You indicate that mercury is present in the local materials. Is <br />this naturally occurring or is this a result of historic <br />operations?
