Box 5243
Denver, CO 80217
RE: Ute Mine, File No. 79-221
Dear Mr. Leidich:
i~ti itinii~` n iii
At the June 26, 1985 meeting of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, the
Board approved your request to continue consideration of this application to
the July 24-25, 1985 meeting. This meeting will be held in Denver in Room 110
of 1313 Sherman Street.
We have reviewed your response to our adequacy letter and believe everything
is in order save the reclamation costs. Listed below are the areas of
difference between our letters (the first value listed will be the Division's
value from the May 20, 1985 letter whereas the second number listed represents
the value from your letter of June 5, 1985) and our comments pertaining to the
differences.
1. a. Grass seed: $4.00/pound versus $2.28/pound. Our value comes
from a local seed company. Please specify tfle company you are
dealing with to get your value. If such a company is
identified, we will go with your value.
2. b. Mulch: $100.00/ton versus $10.00/ton. We will go with your
value.
3. Backfilling and sloping: $100.00/hour versus $50.00/hour. We
believe your value is still low. We would accept a compromise of
$75.00/hour (half way between our values).
4. Final finish grading, sloping, and recoiling: $0.75/acre versus
$0.62/acre. We will go with your value, but the amount of soil to
be replaced is "approximately 12 inches" as specified on page 18 of
the application rather than your specified value of "0.5 feet soil
depth".
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
