The closest stream is the North Santa Clara
Creek that at its closest point is approximately 1 mile north of the site. The North Santa
Clara is a small creek that during dry yeazs has little water in it. The creek is
approximately 200 feet lower than the lowest mining level. Mining mill not reach the
ground water table so there will be no impacts to the groundwater table. Our
investigations indicated the ground water table is more than 120 feet below the surface of
the site, so no ground water will be exposed. Surface or subsurface water will not be
impacted by this mining operation.
Review of well data on the surrounding azea indicates the highest water table is more than
300 feet below the existing ground surface of the mine. We do not expect to encounter
ground water on this site for that reason. We will not affect the hydrologic balance of
surface or subsurface water in the azea.
