Mr. Thomas A. Schreiner 999 14 June 2001
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 213
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Comment Letter from Camilletti and Sons, Inc. Regarding the Mining of Lands
Adjacent to the Clazk Ditch which is Adjacent to the Proposed Mine Haulroad for the
Proposed Camilletti Milner Pit # 2 Site -File No. M - 2001-023.
Dear Mr. Schreiner:
This letter is being written according to the verbal instructions you gave me, Mr. Kent Crofts and
Mr. Paul Currier, during a site inspection visit you made to the above-mentioned property on the
morning of 1 June 2001. While examining and standing adjacent to the Clark Ditch, where it
passes underneath Routt County Road No. 179 and adjacent to the proposed mine haulroad
which will cross lands to the east of the County Road owned by Camilletti and Sons, Inc., you
suggested [hat the owners of the water rights in and including the Clark Ditch write a letter to the
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that as
the owners of the water rights, including the structure known as the Clazk Ditch that we have no
objections to the proposal widening of Routt County Road No. 179 and of the construction of the
proposed mine haulroad adjacent to the Clazk Ditch to facilitate the construction of haulroad
which is required by Routt County as conditions of approval of the County Special Use Permit.
We believe that the engineering design required of the road by Routt County will more than
ensure our continued use of this ditch and the waters in it.
Sincerely, I ~
Frank H.
