Box 1009 <br />Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 <br />Attn: Mr. Dave Atkins <br />Dear Dave: <br />TELEPHONE <br />AHEA CUDE 303 X93-]011 <br />~~~~~~~Y <br />.JUN 1 71985 <br />RECLAIyMIgT10N ND <br />DIVISION <br />We wish to respond to your letter to the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, dated April 25, 1985, concerning our 112 <br />permit application for a limestone quarry located in Section 15, <br />T4S, R92W, north of Rifle, Colorado. <br />A copy of a letter of concern from the Mined Land Reclamation <br />regarding this permit is enclosed together with a copy of our <br />replies to these concerns. <br />The reply to your concerns is as follows: <br />The disturbance area is not more than 40 acres including <br />roadways as shown on revised Exhibits C ~. Anew <br />Exhibit H is attached and our permit application is for <br />40 acres. <br />The corrected legal description for Exhibit A is S`~ of SW% <br />and I1IaZ of SW1~, Sect 15, T4S, R92W, 6th P.P1., Garfield <br />County, Colorado. <br />The overburden stockpile and marketable limestone areas will <br />initially be stockpiled on the existing benches in the old <br />quarry. These are noted on the revised mining plan supplied <br />to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />~4~ Exhibit E has been changed to indicate 2H: 1V slopes. Also <br />enclosed find revised Reclamation Map that has been supplied <br />to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />A test plot will be established using the seeding recommended <br />by the Soil Conservation Service in the revised Exhibit J <br />furnished to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />A berm will be constructed along the southerly and easterly <br />edge of the quarry operation.
