A copy of a letter of concern from the Mined Land Reclamation regarding this permit is enclosed together with a copy of our replies to these concerns. The reply to your concerns is as follows: The disturbance area is not more than 40 acres including roadways as shown on revised Exhibits C ~. Anew Exhibit H is attached and our permit application is for 40 acres. The corrected legal description for Exhibit A is S`~ of SW% and I1IaZ of SW1~, Sect 15, T4S, R92W, 6th P.P1., Garfield County, Colorado. The overburden stockpile and marketable limestone areas will initially be stockpiled on the existing benches in the old quarry. These are noted on the revised mining plan supplied to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. ~4~ Exhibit E has been changed to indicate 2H: 1V slopes. Also enclosed find revised Reclamation Map that has been supplied to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. A test plot will be established using the seeding recommended by the Soil Conservation Service in the revised Exhibit J furnished to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. A berm will be constructed along the southerly and easterly edge of the quarry operation. Runoff can percolate these berms so as to minimize sedimentation of downstream drainage.
