A. INTRODUCTION
Section 2.05.4(2)(e)(vi) of "Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclama-
tion Board for Coal Mining" requires a description of "Measures proposed to
be used to determine the success of revegetation in accordance xith 4.ls.y."
To fulfill that requirement, xe present a description of methods to be used
on the "area to be mined," where xe develop basic techniques, then proceed
to those to be used on "reference areas" and "revegetated areas." Thereafter,
we present data to establish, first, the comparability of reference areas,
and secondly, success standards,
