SRT284). These sites were not found to be within l 00 ft (30 m) of the proposed core hole
locations and were thus not revisited. These proposed core holes were scattered across TSN
R89W in sections 9-]0, 15-16, 21-27, 35-36 with eight occumng in a cluster in section 36 and
one occurring in section 35. A 119 acre block incorporating these nine core holes was
inventoried using lineaz pedestrian transects spaced 15-20 meters apart. A total of 106 acres in
the 135 acre project azea were surveyed. The remaining 29 acres were not covered because of
excessively steep slopes. - ._
This survey resulted in the discovery of one new cultural resource. The open lithic scatter
is recommended as not eligible for the NRHP because it does not retain sufficient integrity and
does not meet the criteria for inclusion on the NRHP. A finding of "no historic properties
affected" is recommended for this project azea. No further work is recommended.
9
