The lake that will result from the extraction of gravel will result in
approximately 8 acres.
' The intention of the operator is to perform the sloping and contouring of
the pit banks in conjunction with the mining operations. As the mining
proceeds, the banks will be shaped directly thereafter. As discussed in
' the mining plan, some of the overburden in Phase 2 will be used to create
the banks in Phase 1.
The banks in Phase 1 will be created with varying degrees of slope, from
3:1 to 5:1. The purpose being to create shallows for fish spawning and
for the support of riparian vegetation.
The overburden from Phase 3 will be used to create the banks for the Phase
2.
' Again, irregular shoreline and banks slopes will be implemented. A minimum
of 3:1 slope will be provided.
The banks in Phase 3 will be built with excess overburden from Phase 2 and
' 3. As previously established, some topsoil will be stored on the north
i~order of the property.
[t is believed that an adequate amount of topsoil is present on the site
ro provide 6" to 12" of soil on all the slopes.
' The floor of the lake will be left irregular so as to foster a more
:suitable habitat for aquatic species.

1
