JERIS A, DANIELSON, DEPUTY STATE ENGINEER
SUBJECT: NIELSONS, INC. -ALEXANDER PIT, SAN MIGUEL COUNTY,
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
C.J. KUIPER
State Engineer
We have reviewed the additional information submitted to your office by
the applicant on June 8, 1977. Nielsons has applied (W-3065, W. D. 4)
fora 1 cfs diversion from the over-appropriated San Miguel River to be
used for gravel washing. If approved, however, this decree would have
a very junior priority and would normally be subject to call by senior
rights during most of the irrigation season. The direct flow right issued
under such a decree would provide very little water during the irrigation
season unless augmentation water is provided by the applicant. An
augmentation plan must be appro~d by the Water Court.
A. Danielson
JAD/SSH:mvf
cc: Ralph Kelling, Div. 4 Eng.
San Miguel Water Conservancy District
