We understand that the period for
written public comment liar passed, but would appreciate the Division notify the District what procedures
fq follow to register our objection and be considered an objector in this case.
The District is currently constructing a $22M wastewater ir~atxueni facility across from the
proposed projecx. This facility has taken twelve years of planning and approvals to reach the construction
phase. Through the planning process this plant wilt treat wastewater' from the cities of Black Hawk,
Central City and portions of Gilpin County well beyond 2050.
The new facility has very large concrete tanks with untreated sewer water and sludge, along with a
potable water system on'the site which would have a catastrophic event should olTsite blasting endanger
their structural integrity. We aze also still trying to determine if the project will create any adverse
conditions through the Black Hawk Fault thereby affecting the wastewater treatment facility.
Thank you for your consideration of our request, and look forwazd to your reply.
Sincerely,
/lmv ,. ,,
cc:,, ..
