The secorci set of samples were collected on 8/1/91 during a representative
• precipitation event which produced runoff for a period of at least 45 minutes.
Review of the data shows that the ~~~*+~~ solids oorrcentration was actually
lower in sample HD#2 than in HD#1, with all other para,mtPrc remaining virtually
unchanged. This indicates no adverse impacts to the quality of the flow resulting
frmn upslope run-off.
Field inspections by both CYCC arcs Division personnel have shown no evidence of
excessive erosion on either parcel, both of which are bisected by the Hc7nwetnad
Ditch. There has been no evidence of elevated levels of cs~r7imant being deposited
in the ditch from the upslope parcels, arc] both parcels are well vegetated as
discussed. The quality samples collected show no significant impacts upon the
quality of the irrigation flow, and it is during the irrigation season that
impacts would be most significant aryl most likely to be seen. CYCC feels that the
disturbance associated with the install-ation of a replacement silt fence is no
longer warranted given the current grand conditions at the site, and that the
silt fence should no longer be rerniired given the stability of the reclaimed
• parcels. As such, the existing silt fence will be left in place and allowed to
naturally degrade. Metal silt fence supports will be removed during the 1993
field season.
CYCC intends to attempt collection of a limited number of samples to verify the
effectiveness of the current alternative ~~~*+t control maa~~res, specifically
rock check filters. Samples will not be subject to the NPDFS limitations for
lbtal Suspended Solids aryl Settleable Solids.
Certification arcs Ir~spec,~tion
The design plans, typical cross-sections, calculation and specifications for
treatment facilities, diversion ditches, and culverts are presented in
•
MR 92-16 2.05-21 (c) Revised 11/04/92
