' 2.05.3(3) (c) <br />' (i) Roads etc. <br />The mine is adjacent to State Highway 133. Only t~ao roads apply. <br />These are: <br />' I. The road from Highway 133 to the office area. <br />' 2. The road from the office area to the west portal. <br />Refer to the Existing Land Use b?ap, 2.04.3(2)(a)-1 for location of <br />' the roads. ;11 roads are considered in the affected land area. All <br />roads are gravel surfaced with draingage conveyed to Sedimentation <br />' Ponds. <br />The road from the highway to the office area has been in existence <br />for many years. It was originally constructed near 1934, and ]gas <br />' been upgraded and improved as a part of regular maintenance. [n <br />June, 1977, a portion of the road from the highway to the tipple <br />area was reconstructed. See Map 2.05.3(2)(1)-1 for details. <br />The bridge across the North Fort, of the Gunnison Paver was huilt in <br />' 1944, and has been in constant use since. It carries semi-trur_k <br />traffic with gross loads of up to 80,000 pounds, all equipment <br />' for the mine, as well as all employees and other traffic to the <br />area. No specifications exist for the structure. It is adequate <br />' as determined by usage, and is maintained in good repair. <br />' The second road extends from the west end of the office and service <br />area site to the west portal of the Bear Mine. The road was <br /> constructed by widening and improving an existing access road to the <br /> area, Clear the west portal, the road was constructed on the face of <br /> the slope, with a working bench in front of the three entries <br />' comprising the west portal.
