Everist, Inc. is submitting applications with the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board and Weld County to mine sand and gravel on the subject
property. In conjunction with the Weld County Use by Special Review application, a
Flood Hazard Development Permit Appliption will be submitted to Weld County.
The Flood Hazard Development Permit requires written notifiption to various
agencies for a proposed alteration or relocation of a water course.
The 85 acre property is located south of Weld County Road 18, appro>amately one
half mile west of Highway 85, (the south half of the northwest quarter of Section 30,
Township 2 North, Range 66 West), in unincorporated Weld County. The mining
plan being submitted incorporates reconstruction of the Lupton Bottom Ditch on
compacted fill, after the sand and gravel has been mined under the ditch location.
The e>asting ditch has been surveyed so that the reconstruction will occur along the
same alignment and grade, and with an equivalent cross section. The capacity of the
reconstructed ditch will equal or exceed historic capacity, and access for
maintenance will be provided, as desired by the Lupton Bottoms Ditch Company.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Stan Peters, P.E.
Project Engineer
